CRUISE LOCATION – Gratiot Avenue from 14 Mile Road north of Metropolitan Parkway to Wellington Crescent and back, through beautiful Clinton Township.
CRUISE TIME – Since 2003 the cruise has always been the first Sunday in August. This year it will be Sunday, August 1, 2010 from noon to 6 p.m.
PUBLIC WELCOME – This is a FREE public event for residents, friends, family and out-of-towners with or without classic vehicles. You may find a spot to drop a blanket or have lawn chairs for watching, park your classic in a business parking lot or at Cruise Headquarters as part of the Car Show, or join one of the many business events to start your day while mingling up and down Gratiot on foot to see all the sites.
CRUISE RULES – Have fun!!! When cruising please stay in the outside lanes. Be cautious of others and be safe. Be ready for any trouble with engines. Watch for brake lights not working and be ready.

GRAND MARSHAL – This year’s Grand Marshal is Joseph Caramango, owner of Car Trucking in Clinton Township. Joe has grown up driving on Gratiot and currently lives and runs a business in Clinton Township. Car Trucking is known for its community involvement and commitment to Macomb County.
CAR SHOW – Cruise Headquarters has a public Car Show for $15 pre-registered and $20 on cruise day. Car Show parking opens at 8 a.m. cruise day and closes at 6 p.m. Preregistration is available online – www.ctgratiotcruise.com. Or contact Tracey Moro - 586-212-1673. There will also be Car Shows throughout Clinton Township all week prior to the cruise. See the events page for a complete listing and grab your Cruise Passport on Monday, July 26th at the Great Baraboo to start your cruise week off right.
FUN EXTRAS – Cruise Headquarters will have WCSX broadcasting live all day. A stage at Cruise Headquarters will have live entertainment all day, with Clinton Township Parks and Recreation having children’s activities going on all day.
CRUISE MERCHANDISE – EA Graphics will have several large booths set up along the cruise selling cruise merchandise – including the new 2010 cruise t-shirt.
CRUISE PARADE – The parade will lead the cruise at noon. Ronald McDonald with children driving pedal cars will begin, followed by our Grand Marshal. Sponsors can bring their own classic vehicle or be put in one on cruise day. The public can follow all special vehicles. The parade will start from just south of Cruise Headquarters, loop around and come back to Cruise headquarters.
CRUISE PEDAL CARS – Throughout Cruise day the public can choose to take a chance on raffles for authentic Gratiot Cruise Pedal Cars. Top Speed sponsors receive a Cruise Pedal Car on their first year being a sponsor. Bring your pedal car to Cruise Headquarters to be part of the parade or to park it for the day. We make it a point to include pedal cars.
CRUISE SPONSORS – Sponsors are just the best!! Several businesses in Clinton Township have decided to donate and become a Cruise Sponsor. Sponsorships cover the cost for all you see all day long, along with the pre-planning including promotions, entertainment, children’s activities, merchandise, prizes, etc. You can see sponsors listed on the cruise website – www.ctgratiotcruise.com and many will have official 2010 Sponsor posters posted in their businesses. CRUISE EVENTS – For 2010 we have joined forces with several Clinton Township businesses to have some Classic Car events in the evenings all week before the cruise. We want you to bring that classic car out every night before the cruise so you may want to wax it good and fill up the tank! Watch our Events page so you can keep up on the week's festivities. There will be Car Shows each day starting with Monday at the Great Baraboo; Tuesday two Car Shows - one at the Italian Cultural Center and one at Sonic Drive In; Wednesday at Fern Hill Country Club; Thursday two Car Shows - one at Concorde Inn and the other at CJ Barrymore's; Friday at the Dawg House and Saturday at the new Hampton Inn on Gratiot with the Cruise VIP Party in the evening. You won't want to miss any of them and there will be special prizes for those who attend them all!! Pick up your Cruise Passport at the Great Baraboo to travel throughout Clinton Township for special prizes!!
CRUISE ACCOMMODATIONS - If you're traveling from out of town to enjoy Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise festivities you may want to consider staying overnight. We recommend two Clinton Townshihp hotels in the local area - on Gratiot of course. The Concorde Inn is located on Gratiot just south of Hall Road. You may want to mention the cruise for special rates call 586.493.7300. There's also the new Hampton Inn right on Gratiot in the heart of the cruise strip south of 15 Mile. You don't even have to be from out of town - you could just stay here to have a front row seat! Special cruise rates apply call 586.791.1300.
